Jayleden wanted to build a new castle for Jamie. I am not sure.. I think Jay and I were going to build it together? Umm well, I got keen and started without waiting for the team to arrive....
It was to be a surprise for Jamie. Jay said there were some stained glass panels in the house they already had that he would want incorporated. He wanted it roughly the same size. He'd like a dance space. Verandas. 2 floors of dungeons.
I started with a few photos from Google Image. Showed jay and asked for his opinions and then off I went. The textures are from Textures R Us. Best place in SL to get textures. Second best for me has been Harbingers Haven. Theirs are free and a great range of ones that suit were I build.
Eager Jay was asked a few questions mid building and he couldn't wait to get Jamie's input, so Jamie got to see his castle a little sooner than planned. Jamie then went home and dug a somewhat generous hole to accommodate the castle. Net result being that by the time I placed the castle in place, its subterranean levels were exposed!
A few texture fixes later the castle was in fine shape and instead of being land-locked, it now has a moat! What a great idea!
I love this castle. I think the two Js do too and I have ti for sale now at Winterfell Fathom

Erasmus Margulis. Knight of Caledon, September 2, 2008
The other day, with little warning, a special event was announced. Finally Des had managed to find himself on line at the same time as Kamillah and Erasmus Margulis.
It was in fact, nothing short of a miracle to find the three on line and with time up their sleeves as they are all so busy. And as it was the first time in nearly two months, it was not an opportunity to be missed.
For a spontaneous event, it was amazing to see such a great turnout of the regular voices in Caledon.
If you have know the badger song, you can now sing it with a different mental image!

It is amazing! I got there just a little late, some of the speeches had already been made, but I managed to grab a couple of photos of the actual knighting ceremony.
Miss K said that a wrench was a better instrument for knighting as it represents building rather than battle.. or words to that effect. For a spontaneous event, it was amazing to see such a great turnout of the regular voices in Caledon.
A bit of a "who's who" plus me!
Nix mentioned that he had just one arm, so it seemed vital to get a photo of Nix for the blog :)If you have know the badger song, you can now sing it with a different mental image!

Time for Change
In the middle of the night, my friend Wil packed up his sim and left. Our dark cathedral is gone, the bridge was dismantled and the sim passed back to Miss Serra.
I look out from my home and feel a little desolate that Undertow is no longer his home.
New neighbours have moved in. I am waiting to see what they do with the sim. I hope they fill it swiftly so that the emptiness doesn't stay as a reminder.
