My Tiny New Home

I was talking to Edward Pearse tonight between my intervals of 5 minutely crashes... and mentioned that I feel a little like a dog on the end of a leash. The smaller prim allowance is a bit of a test for me.
Yesterday I set up my new home in Tinytoriana.
This morning I got a special notice to say that I was 10 prims over my limit... whoooops!
It is quite a challenge to furnish with 200 prims. The little house is three rooms and 55 prims. That's not exactly low prim, nor exactly over the top. So I am learning to pull my horns in a little.

I still have most of my prims at my biggee home so I have some where I can build a tiny skirt without having to retreat to the Victoriana Sandbox. Or a shoe with 120 stitches evenly spaced round the sole....
I should really put in a photo of the sandbox too as it has become my default home. I am spending quite a lot of time there and am very grateful to LBD for putting those prims at our service. I just lonely there, that's all. So I would rather build at ground level if I could.

The sandbox
In the sandbox I have three WIPs. The railway station is being made tiny, I am re-texturing the Morris House and it looks much better in stone than it did as a brick cottage. (Also textured in weatherboard as shown in my new tiny house)
Also working on the original Lidl Auds shop. Once it is is re-textured, I will get myself sorted, find a more commercial spot for my houses and it will be the store for my houses. I will probably put landmarks in there with directions to a couple of my other place so that people can see the sort of things I build.
It is a toss up you see. Who will buy a house without seeing it rezzed? Will they ever pay enough to pay for the prims it costs to have houses rezzing? A rezzing vendor would be ideal I guess. I think I need a firm hand top guide me through that one though. I have wasted plenty of SL hours trying to decide on which rezzer.

ohhhh I have garbled on and on and I am too tired to read what kind of aimless nonesense i have spouted.... off I go .. gooodnight :)

oh

I am sitting stunned
sad
relieved
something
not sure what

I moved into Southend in 2008 when I needed somewhere to hide from the troubles I was having in Fathom. The first block was bought by my alt, Heppi Swashbuckler. But as the end days of Fathom played out, I kept my ears to the ground and heard that Wrath was selling the two blocks on the corner. One of them was originally owned by an avatar called Cogsan. Cogsan had been a fairly horrible episode in my life and so it was odd to end up with a plot of land some how connected to her.

Anyway, in a farcical moment, Heppi and I met with Des, while Rory dropped in to bother Des and Brioni came over to say "hi" ....I ran through my house between computers while the two girls swapped land holdings til it was all sorted and Auds owned the three blocks. Rory got kicked out for good, Brioni must have thought I was crazy and I dont know that Des has ever quite trusted me since!

Time passes and I have been pretty much a model citizen since.. But time has come to make some decisions and one is that it would be better to have a smaller commitment for my credit card to have to manage. A while ago Muse asked me if I was interested in selling. At that time I wasn't but it did plant a seed so the next time I heard some one was looking, I mentioned to Mr Edward that I might be able to tear a bit off my parcels.

That much achieved without too many tears, when Alastair asked me if I was willing to sell him a piece.... well I said yes before I could change my mind. He was quite kind, realising the emotional ties I have there and offered to include a small parcel of his from Southend. A drastic downsizing.
But it will save me quite a bit per month and will hopefully mean that with my little sales of houses and moppet stuff, I may actually be able to run Second life cash neutral. Which in the long term is the only way I will be able to do it.

Don't ask me how I feel about it right now though, as I may cry

Changing times

This is something that I have been having a long debate with myself about for ages. I have too much land. I am spread too thin. It costs too much. So I am selling off the Frankston Villa block in Southend to Edward Pearse.
I am over the pangs. It is all a jumble in inventory, like so much of my memories.

Meaningless Drivell

"lah lahl alah lah" she sings and skips around sl, aimlessly.
ok.. seems to be happy days in SL. After months and months and months of medium to high level drama, I am wandering around doing serious stuff like trying on hair demos, playing in photo booths and attending games in Raglan Shire.

It seemed that just as my rl was letting go of me for the day, the rest of SL headed off to bed or work. So vastly unfair sometimes how the Ozzies are abandoned in our evenings.
So I was left to wander SL on my own for a while.

During the day, Fogwoman had sent a message that there was a free photographic studio in Oxbridge Village. I popped over to have a look and played briefly on the pose stand. You get to choose poses and backgrounds. I played quite briefly then got distracted by my hair and wondered if Wunderlich's had any new styles that might suit.
(I told you this would be meaningless, you were warned...)

And then the picture I took....
Just as I returned home from hair experimentation at Wunderlich's, who should appear but Cheeseweasel. The two of us settled to the business of building and scripting.

After a little while I bothered Mr Pearse with questions about selling land and he suggested I join him at Raglan Shire to play Primtionary.
Raglan Shire is the home of tiny-ness. It is a lovely place, full of lovely people as far as I can tell. Before settling into the fun, I made a quick change into Little Auds.
The theme was St Patricks day.
There is a person building. They are given a secret word by the host and have 10 minutes to build it and have the audience guess. Tonight's audience were premier guessers. Some one guessed 'rainbow' correctly from a flattened cube of untextured prim....
When you guess correctly, you take the next turn as builder.

I guessed correctly very shortly after arriving and was very embarrassed.. having no idea what I was doing or how hard it might be, I opted for an easy one. I got given the word 'gold' to build. Too easy!!
It was guessed as soon as I put a colour on it.

My second winning guess saw the crowd urge for evil.. the hardest words to build.
The word "jig" Cripes!
I called on the brains trust (ie one of the kids) and was advised to build a jig saw. Seemed easier than other options though was harder to reproduce than I have anticipated. The crowd however was as brilliant as ever and quickly got the point of my oddly shaped, nearly fitting prims.
Well... that was fun and I thank Mr Edward for his brilliant suggestion. I need some one to nudge me next Tuesday so I get along to another one!
