A year ago I went on holidays and I was beside myself worrying about suffering from SL withdrawal.
It's a year on, the addiction has eased its grip and I am enjoying a little away time with ease.
Before I left, I ran round and fed meters.. rent in Victoriana Forest, Victoriana Pavilion, 3 blocks in Caledon Southend and the Heronshire Raglan store. That.. is a fair bit of rent all up!
Fortunately my cottage industry of houses and dresses had put a few cents in my account to offset the expense so it was just a smallish transfer to US then to Linden dollars. I HATE the double exchange.
On the SL website front page they have links to various subjects and today there was "What I hate most about SL". I think the double sting of currencies would have to be my hate, as I really don't hate anything else at all :)
One thing I did forget to do was to pack up my vendors in the middle of Raglan that had been set up for the season's celebrations. I guess someone will parcel it up and send it home if it is meant to be cleaned up before I get "home"
I am enjoying my out of world time and my eyes are feasting on South Coast cottages imagining them turned into SL reality :) Back soon, refreshed !

..there is a Season...
We are moving from Autumn to Winter in my SL homes.
Victoriana is still enjoying the end of summer days as the softness of Autumn falls onto the sun warmed lawns.

Caledon has had a cold wind blow over bringing in early snows and a yearning for the quiet of winter spent next to the fire in the arms of some one warm.

Caledon Frock, Victoriana Forest
I have been building just a little.
Jay is raising money to run the mines in Caledon. As he is on the look out for gifts to be donated for the treasure hunt, I have made a tiny Caledon outfit.I took the outfit out for a little walk through my nearby forest. It was raining when I set out but the rain cleared and moon was shining through the leaves in shafts of light.
I wonder what the colours for Victoriana are! I could make a dress for it too.
Tilba Grove
This is me moving into my new home in Victoriana Forest.
I have squeezed and pushed and added prims to one of my older buildings, Gingerbread Cottage. It is now a tiny home. Room for Taz and I to sit by the fire or have a big friend or two join us in the music room. My treadle sewing machine waits for me to find time to sew again. When I was building a year ago, the main aim was prim limitation. I would build a room with one prims, hollowed out and a doorway. These days, the crazy camera behavior in a hollowed out cube is not worth the few prims saved so I replaced all the hollowed prims with fine and proper ones and now it is much easier to navigate the camera aound the house.

Building outside is something of a challenge.
