Keep Busy

Keep Busy is the goal.. otherwise being left at home while the kids head to Queensland for a theme park holiday without me will get a little overwhelming.
So today I planned to finish the federation house I began at Christmas.
With a bit of time off line when my good mood got squelched as mentioned below, I still managed to achieve my goal. (Thanks Fogwoman, you are wise :) )
The house is mostly, sort of, finished.
I have replaced Heppi's House in Southend where my house vendors are and put in Saint Alban's as it is known as of a few minutes ago.
May tweak a bit here and there yet. Do some landscaping. And fill it with furniture for photos for the vendor board.

Another night

I have wasted a colossal amount of time. Making houses is sooo much more time consuming when compared with tiny dresses.
I have hunted for a nice round brick window texture without success. I have played with getting a texture onto the gable wood texture. Am annoyed.
Lifted the roof, lowered the wall, lowered the roof, lifted the wall and so on... arrggghhh
But I think you will be able to see the movement...

Building Federation Style

Boxing Day!
After a lot of cooking, a lot of eating, a lot of planning, a lot of cleaning I have a day to myself. I am on strike. I am not getting more food. There is no more room in the fridge.
So I have spent the day building!

I have bought a new block in Victoriana. In Victoriana Pavilion. The trees in Forrest were making it a bit too hard for me to build. While I am happy to build homes at 1000m, I prefer to make clothes at ground level and enjoy watching people passing by.

Nice thing about Victoriana is seeing familiar buildings! behind me in Pavilion is the QVB from Sydney. In another Victoriana Sim, I recognised the railway station from Albury before I found out that is what it was. I love how LBD has arranged these sims and furnished them with magnificent buildings

I have started a new house based on another in Appian Way.

My house, Frankston Villa was the first from that street. The houses there are stunning and I will work my way through them. So far I have just a little of the layout. Walls are like loose teeth and jutting out all over, but I can see where I am headed :)

Progress Report from the Last Day of May

About 5 minutes after the last photo... the roof vanished...
I pressed one of the god keys on my key board.. not delete, mind...by accident.. and the roof was gone. I don't know if it was "Alt + send it to the end of the earth" or "shift+ control + remove all earthly and ether traces" but it was gone.
I know people say to take copies along the way. But I was avoiding linking it... and then it was gone.
So I started almost from scratch.. again... and have worked away ..again.. and here I am so far.

Getting along ok.

As I said to Taz, in some ways the set backs don't bother me too much. I enjoy building. And once the project is over, I go into decline. I mope and wallow. I shop and buy dresses. Slowing down the building process is not so bad really.
