Progress report

Yes.. there has been progress..
Just as I prepared to throw in the towel, I have kinda tumbled onto a way to get this sorted a bit.
I do fear I am going to have trouble with zinging texture flicker, but am preparing to throw some prims at crack covering :))
So, this is what I have come up with so far....

Auds, I have no doubt this will be another of your exceptionally excellent builds. Taz and you have chosen a stunning RL example to build. Mr Belgar is an outstanding researcher as well as a thorough gent.

However being myself I cannot help myself to point out your post neglects to mention what must be the single most vital piece of information in relation to the Bournville Rest House, that being:

The rest house was built to celebrate the Silver Wedding Anniversary of George and Elizabeth Cadbury. Yes that is Cadbury as in the now world famous chocolate.

Back in 1879 George and Richard Cadbury moved their chocolate factory from Bridge Street (near The Mailbox) in the centre of Birmingham to a rural area near Bournbrook Hall in the hope that it would be easy to develop and there was a canal and railway station nearby, which would be necessary for the transportation of their products. They named this new place after Bourn Brook (known now as The Bourn) and hence the name "Bournville".

Australian typists, well those of my decrepit years, will know "Cadbury Bournville Coco"

At the time, most workers were paid poor wages and their living conditions were cramped and the working conditions very hard. However, the Cadburys were Quakers and they believed in providing their workers with better accommodation and working conditions.
I can't wait to see the finished product in SL.

PS I too will vote for you, as will the 2,783 alts i am currently making all called VoteAuds NAME *joking* but it is an interesting thought
